Cook in Our Kitchen: Caring for Friends’ professional kitchen at 12271 Townsend Road, Philadelphia is looking for individuals or groups of 10 or more people interested in preparing food with our trained staff.

Snack Bag Room: Volunteers who help assemble snack bags will place 6-9 items in a bag for our homebound seniors, people who are homeless or in shelters, and children/families in need. The bags consist of a variety of items, such as a breakfast item, a caring note, a drink, fruit cups, peanut butter/cheese crackers, raisins, breakfast bars, and other sustainable treats! This is a great family activity.
Bennett Compost Cleanup in Tacony Creek Park
Wednesdays, 11am-12pm
Meet at Bennett Compost: 5650 Rising Sun Ave, Philadelphia 19120
Give back to Tacony Creek Park with Bennett Compost to clean the park every Wednesday. Let’s support this local business in improving our environment and neighborhood! All tools and supplies will be provided.

Rise Against Hunger Volunteer Opportunities
Feast of Justice Outdoor Grocery Market / Every Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m
.Feast of Justice operates an outdoor grocery market where Philadelphia residents can receive free produce and dry goods until supplies run out. Volunteers are needed to help distribute food and restock the market.

Volunteer at the Hub of Hope / Multiple Dates
The Hub of Hope offers a safe place where people who are experiencing homelessness can enjoy a warm cup of coffee, take a shower, wash their laundry, and speak to peers or resource coordinators and ultimately, begin the process of finding a permanent home. The Hub serves meals Thursday-Monday and needs volunteers. Register for a volunteer shift today.
Share Warehouse Packing / Multiple Dates
Join other volunteers to help pack food at the Share Warehouse. Volunteers help to support Share’s Senior Food Box Program, Home Delivery Program, Pantry Program, and more! Volunteer duties include weighing boxes, packing boxes, sorting produce, and more! Sign up for a volunteer shift today.

Ronald McDonald House Philadelphia
Served with Love Program
- This fantastic teambuilding activity gives groups the opportunity to prepare and serve meals for our families. It is consistently rated as one of the top programs we offer at the Ronald McDonald House.
- Dinners take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for a group of 8 volunteers. The hours are 4pm – 8pm and costs $1,000 per group.
- Breakfasts take place on Wednesday mornings for a group of 4 volunteers. The hours are 7:30am – 10:30am and costs $500 per group.

From noon to 3pm, we can use a community service team of 6 to 8 volunteers to help us keep the Ronald McDonald House clean and organized for our guest families. This opportunity is available is available daily including weekends. Tasks might include furniture assembly, holiday decorating, in-kind toy organization, and cleaning indoor and outdoor common areas.
